Vail is all about superlatives. The skiing in particular is superb and is widely regarded as the best in the States with the seven back bowls providing unbeatable powder skiing whilst there is a feast of immaculately groomed gladed runs. Nearby Beaver Creek plus Breckenridge and Keystone offer even more on the same pass.
The village itself is a wonderful blend combining the best of American hospitality and efficiency with a real European charm. Atmospheric small bars and rustic restaurants line the narrow pedestrian only streets and later in the evening the village has a real buzz. This is one of the great resorts and one that everyone will love.
