Champéry is great for intermediate skiers looking for a quiet time in a lovely place, especially if they have a car. Access to the Portes du Soleil circuit is not bad: Avoriaz is fairly easy to get to - and there may be fresh powder there when Champéry is suffering.
Champéry is ideal for those who love the atmosphere and more reasonable prices of a small Swiss village but also want skiing facilities comparable to one of the top resorts. Plenty of challenging skiing even for experts, including black mogul fields. Although perhaps less than ideal for beginners. With its capacity of 125, the Champery-Planachaux takes you up to the Portes du Soleil domain within 5 minutes.back to top
